The annual Clark Gardens Holiday Festival kicks off on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. The community is invited to take part in one of Clark Gardens most cherished annual events, the annual Holiday tree lighting ceremony.
This year’s opening night, November 25, includes the dedication of luminaries to Light the Way to End Alzheimer’s, the holiday tree lighting on the Chapel Lawn at 6:30 pm, photo op with Santa, visit with Santa’s elves and one of his reindeer, be entertained by local entertainers including Morgan Baker and Kyle Williams, enjoy a hay ride, play in a children’s snow box and dine at our old fashioned weenie roast complete with smores and hot chocolate.
Thousands of twinkling lights will light the garden illuminating beautiful holiday displays including an illuminated nativity scene, a Gingerbread Playhouse, Charlie Brown and friends ice skating on Oxbow Lake, and much more. This year an additional 10,000 lights will enhance the holiday decorations.
Wagons and strollers are allowed along the paths with well behaved pets on leashes.
The holiday tree will be lit at 6:30 p.m. The dedication and lighting of the luminaries will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Channel Garden. Proceeds from the Clark Gardens Light the Way to End Alzheimer’s will benefit the Alzheimer's Association - North Central Texas Chapter. Donation forms can be found online.
Free hay rides will depart every 15 minutes from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from the Clark Garden Depot.
Admission fees apply: $10.00/adult and $5.00/child 5-12 years of age; No Charge for Children 4 and under. Additional fees for weenie roast, smores and beverages. FREE ADMISSION TICKETS AVAILABLE AT CHICKEN EXPRESS MINERAL WELLS AND WEATHERFORD. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
