    Event Description:
    Friday 9:00 am Raising of the flag with the traditional singing of a Kiowa Flag Song and Veterans Honoring Song then at 10:00 am  Erecting of the Tipi Seminar.   Later will be teaching real powwow drumbeats and by early evening Intertribal dancing.

    Saturday: Tours of the tipi; hand tanned buffalo robe on display; Pass & Review which is a display of the dance regalia.  Later there will be a seminar teaching dance steps and the drum beats with the climax being afternoon and evening dancing which will include Gourd Dance, Pow Wow Dance and a special activity called "49". 

    Honored guest for the festivities will be Chief Sathieday Descendant and tribal elder, Martha Koomsa Perez of the Kiowa Nation.  The event is hosted by Celebrating Traditions and Native American Arts and Culture.  Vendors and dancers may call (580) 585-2395 or (580) 585-2396 for more information.
